COASTLINE...

The areas affected include...

  Long Island Sound East of New Haven CT / Port Jefferson NY to the
mouth of the Connecticut River...

At 821 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a thunderstorm capable of
producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located
near The Thimbles, moving E at 20 kt.

The thunderstorm will be near...
  The Thimbles and Falkner Island around 825 PM EDT.
  Madison Reef around 840 PM EDT.

A gust front south of this storm will also impact the Long Island
side of the Sound between Herod Point and Horton Point with winds
up to 25 kt.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds, locally higher seas, and lightning
strikes. Boaters in the path of this storm should consider seeking
safe harbor.
