At 804 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms capable of
producing winds up to 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located
along a line extending from 12 nm NW of Raritan Bay to 8 nm N of
South Amboy, moving E at 20 kt.
Locations impacted include...
The Verrazano Narrows Bridge, Raritan Bay, Upper New York Harbor, and
Lower New York Harbor.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Mariners can expect gusty winds up to 30 kt, locally higher waves,
and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor before these
storms arrive.
