...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT WESTERN PASSAIC...CENTRAL ORANGE
AND WESTERN PUTNAM COUNTIES THROUGH 615 PM EDT...

At 531 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from near New Windsor to near
Unionville. Movement was southeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Newburgh, Mahopac, Monroe, West Point, Warwick, Goshen, Cold Spring,
New Windsor, Chester, Greenwood Lake, Florida, Harriman, Unionville,
Upper Greenwood Lake, and Kiryas Joel.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
southeastern New York.
