415 FXUS63 KPAH 141745 AFDPAH Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Paducah KY 1245 PM CDT Sat Sep 14 2024 .KEY MESSAGES... - Francine`s extra tropical remnants will be capable of another 1/4-1/2" of rainfall across our south, with locally higher amounts up to 3/4" possible. - After Francine`s departure, drier and warmer weather will build across the area, mainly for mid to late next week. && .DISCUSSION... Issued at 135 AM CDT Sat Sep 14 2024 As soupy dew points near 70F hold, Francine`s extra tropical remnants may yet put out another 1/4-1/2" of rainfall across portions of our south today, even as its circulation center drifts further southward/away from the region. Locally higher amounts up to about 3/4" are possible in western Ky near the Tn border. Meanwhile, high pressure over the middle and upper Ohio Valley will all but end our pops in our northeast counties, with scant additional rainfall expected there. Pops dwindle across the remainder of the Forecast Area as it all winds down by early next week, with the ridge of high pressure blocking return flow moisture as we transition to a drier and warmer pattern for the bulk of the new work week. Temperatures ultimately return to the mid and upper 80s. && .AVIATION /18Z TAFS THROUGH 18Z SUNDAY/... Issued at 1245 PM CDT Sat Sep 14 2024 Scattered showers will continue to stream northwest mainly over KCGI and KPAH through this evening. The thunder chance is too low to mention TS anywhere. There is a signal for LIFR conditions to develop over KCGI and possibly KPAH overnight into the early morning hours. Given the expected mid-level clouds, fog is not likely, so mentioned IFR or lower ceilings at both locations. && .PAH WATCHES/WARNINGS/ADVISORIES... IL...None. MO...None. IN...None.
