.DISCUSSION...
High pressure aloft will keep the region dry and hot through
Saturday. Weak transport winds Thursday and Friday will lead to
poor smoke dispersion, despite deeper mixing in place. Southwest
winds increase through the layer on Saturday along with even
deeper mixing which results in good dispersion then. A frontal
boundary will lead to a chance for showers and thunderstorms on
Sunday. Additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms are
possible next week as a rather unsettled pattern sets up.
