...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 330 PM EDT
FOR SOUTHWESTERN FAYETTE, NORTHWESTERN PRESTON AND NORTHEASTERN
MONONGALIA COUNTIES...

At 308 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles east of
Point Marion, or 10 miles south of Uniontown, moving southeast at 25
mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
         tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
         roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
  Point Marion, Brookhaven, Fairchance, Smithfield, Greensboro,
  Laurel Run, Cheat Lake and Clifton Mills.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure
and stay away from windows. This storm has produced widespread
damaging winds and is capable of producing large hail.

Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek
shelter immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a
well-built structure.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning is one of nature`s leading killers. Remember, if you can
hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
