Fire Weather Planning Forecast for NE Oregon and SE Washington
National Weather Service Pendleton OR
248 PM PDT Sun Jun 16 2024

.DISCUSSION...Scattered showers and possible some thunderstorms
will continue to form this evening, primarily impacting the east
slopes of the Cascades and Central Oregon up through the Blues and
Wallowas. Overall QPF is light, so any precipitation that does
fall should be a tenth of an inch or less outside of the
mountains. Highest mountain elevations and peaks will also see
more snow, above 4500-5000 feet. Breezy winds Monday for our
normal gusty locations (Kittitas Valley, Simcoe Highlands,
Columbia Basin, and Foothills of the Blues), with gusts around
30-40 mph with high confidence (70-80%). Cool temperatures
continue through Tuesday before warming thereafter with a more
calm weather pattern through the end of the week.
