...THE SPECIAL MARINE WARNING IS CANCELLED...

The affected areas were...
Coastal waters from Sandy Hook to Manasquan Inlet NJ out 20 nm...

The thunderstorms have moved out of the warned area and no longer
pose a significant threat to boaters.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for
southern New Jersey.

...A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 830 PM EDT...

For the following areas...
Coastal waters from Manasquan Inlet to Little Egg Inlet NJ out 20
nm...

At 755 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts
were located along a line extending from Seaside Heights to near
Barnegat Light to 7 nm northwest of Little Egg Inlet, moving east at
45 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts to nearly 50 knots, and large hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
         hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
         higher winds and suddenly higher waves. Large hail could
         result in structural damage.

Locations impacted include...
Ocean Gate, Barnegat Light, North Beach Haven, Ship Bottom, Seaside
Park, Pine Beach, Silverton, Harvey Cedars, Forked River, Lavallette,
and Beach Haven.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.
