...A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 215 AM EDT...

For the following areas...
Waters from Manasquan Inlet NJ to Little Egg Inlet NJ out 20 to 40
nm...

At 140 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts
was located 24 nm southeast of Garden State North Reef, moving east
at 35 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
         hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
         higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

The severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.
