Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
1025 AM MDT Wed Jun 26 2024

.Discussion...

Increasing moisture will bring a better chance for showers and
thunderstorms to southern Colorado over the next several days.
Temperatures will cool slightly but remain above normal through
the work week with a stronger cold front expected to bring a
more substantial cool down. Wetting rains will be possible
with thunderstorms through the weekend with burn scars becoming
more vulnerable to flash flooding should they be impacted.
Drier and hotter weather will return towards the middle of next
week. No critical fire weather conditions are expected.

Afternoon dispersions will rise into the very good to excellent
categories across the plains, southeast mountains and San Luis Valley
but will be limited to fair to good across the western mountains.
Afternoon dispersions will be fair to good for most areas on
Thursday and very good to excellent across the far eastern plains.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
