.Discussion...

Red Flag conditons will occur today across the San Luis Valley.
In addition, near critical fire weather conditions will occur late
this morning into the afternoon in areas along the Colorado and
New Mexico border.

A strong cool front will move across the district today. This
system will bring cooler weather and increasing humidity values
across the plains as the day progresses. A few strong
thunderstorms will be possible late this afternoon along th e
Colorado and New Mexico border areas.

Tomorrow will be much cooler across all of the district,
especially across the plains. Scattered showers and thunderstorms
will be possible across the entire district, especially late
Wednesday afternoon and Wednesday evening.

Temperatures will rapidly rebound to warmer conditions on
Thursday, with scattered afternoon and evening showers and
thunderstorms. The weather on Friday will be similar to Thursdays
weather.

For te weekend, drier and hotter conditions are expected.

Smoke dispersion will be excellent this afternoon across the
entire district. Smoke dispersion on Wednesday will be good in the
mountains and fair over the plains.
