Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
152 PM MDT Thu Jun 27 2024

.Discussion...

Daily showers and thunderstorms can be expected most days over
the next week with today, Saturday and Sunday seeing the most
widespread wetting rainfalls of the next 7 days. Temperatures
will remain above normal through Friday, but then drop to near
to slightly below normal on Saturday as a cold front moves through
the southeast plains. Temperatures return to above normal by
next week. Winds look light through the period and critical fire
weather conditions are not expected. However burn scars will need
to be monitored closely for flash flooding should a stronger storm
impact these areas, especially today and over the weekend.

Afternoon dispersions will become good to very good over most of
the district today. Dispersions will become poor for all areas
after 2000...then rebound into the very good to excellent range for
all areas on Friday.
