Recent warm temperatures are producing rapid snow melt over the
higher terrain, and has led to increased river flows along the upper
Arkansas river valley. Increased releases from the Pueblo Reservoir
will also cause water levels to rise to action stage for many lower
Arkansas river locations, with flood stage not anticipated for the
locations listed above. Swift flowing water and unstable river banks
can be hazardous, along with the frigid temperature of the snow melt
water. Please stay away from the river banks.
