...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN BACA...EAST CENTRAL
LAS ANIMAS AND SOUTHEASTERN BENT COUNTIES THROUGH 730 PM MDT...

At 658 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 14
miles southeast of Higbee, or 29 miles southeast of North La Junta,
moving northeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northwestern Baca,
east central Las Animas and southeastern Bent Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 700 PM MDT for
southeastern Colorado.
