...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Minor flooding caused by moderate to heavy rainfall is
  expected, especially in urban and poor drainage areas.

* WHERE...A portion of central North Carolina, including the
  following counties, Franklin, Johnston and Wake.

* WHEN...Until 200 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Ponding of water in urban or other areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1051 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated moderate to heavy
    rain. Minor flooding may be ongoing or could begin shortly in
    the advisory area.
  - While the rainfall is not excessive, the ground remains
    saturated and the rain may readily runoff causing minor
    flooding, especially in urban areas and locations where
    ditches and drainages remain full.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Raleigh, Cary, Smithfield, Wake Forest, Garner, Clayton,
    Zebulon, RDU International, Apex, Morrisville, Knightdale,
    Micro, Selma, Wendell, Rolesville, Pine Level, Kenly,
    Princeton, Youngsville and Flowers.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
