...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHERN VANCE...WARREN...
SOUTHERN GRANVILLE...NORTHWESTERN HALIFAX AND NORTHERN FRANKLIN
COUNTIES THROUGH 1130 PM EDT...

At 1025 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Norlina to 6 miles east of Henderson to
near Oxford. Movement was east at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Henderson, Oxford, Creedmoor, Louisburg, Warrenton, Franklinton,
Norlina, Littleton, Kittrell, and Youngsville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM EDT for
central North Carolina.
