.DISCUSSION...

Seasonably warm and dry conditions will continue this week with
high temperatures warming into the upper 80s to near 90 across
western Nevada with upper 70s for Sierra communities. Nights will
remain cool but still mild with lows 5-10 degrees above average
for late September.

Conditions will remain relatively quiet and dry through the week
with no precipitation expected. The only exception will be a
series of dry frontal passages that could yield increased
southwesterly winds on Wednesday and again on Saturday. This could
produce localized areas of critical fire weather conditions with
afternoon gusts of 20-30 mph expected for most areas. Locations
across portions of far NE Lassen, E.Modoc, and far N.Washoe
counties may see the best chances to produce periods of critical
fire weather conditions with gusts of 25-35 mph possible along
with 14-18% humidity.

Otherwise look for a continuation of dry and warm conditions
through the weekend with highs in the upper 80s to near 90 across
western Nevada and mid-upper 70s for Sierra valleys. Overnight
humidity recoveries will remain fair to poor over mid-slopes
across western Nevada through the weekend with afternoon humidity
in the teens for most areas. Southwest breezes will return on
Saturday afternoon but should be more in line with typical
afternoon zephyr gusts of 20-25 mph.

.AVIATION...

VFR conditions will prevail through Wednesday. Increasing
southwest winds with afternoon gusts of 20-25kts may yield areas
of turbulence along and east of the Sierra as a dry frontal
passage tracks through the region. Fuentes
