This progression will continue, while another trough drops over the Pacific Northwest bringing gusty west-northwest winds and slightly cooler and less humid air. * The ridge builds in for Friday, giving us a break in the breezy action until another trough drops in for the weekend. We will see breezes increasing for Saturday and Sunday, with gusts to 30 mph possible. * Once we see the dry weekend trough exit, the work week will bring high pressure, along with warming temperatures. Depending on the strength and positioning of the ridge, we may see triple digit heat build in for midweek into the weekend. The July 4th timeframe in NBM blended guidance leans toward the century mark with a 25-40% chance for 100+ degrees in western Nevada valleys. Glancing into the second week of July, signals point to conditions remaining dry and hot.
