048 FNUS55 KREV 251134 FWFREV Fire Weather Planning Forecast National Weather Service Reno NV 434 AM PDT Tue Jun 25 2024 ...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING FOR GUSTY WINDS AND LOW HUMIDITY ACROSS FAR NORTHEAST CA AND MUCH OF NORTHWEST NV INCLUDING THE NORTHERN SIERRA FRONT... .DISCUSSION... There`s a 15-40% chance for storms today and early tonight as far north as I-80. A dry cold front will bring gusty southwest winds and low humidity Wednesday, yielding a window of critical fire weather for lower elevations north of Highway 50. Breezy northwest winds and much drier air Thursday may aggravate holdovers. Warm dry weather and more typical daytime breezes return Friday into this weekend. Note: Thunderstorms imply gusty and erratic winds. Note: Mixing Heights are in feet above ground level of the valley floors.
