The region sees well above normal temperatures continuing today along with chances of showers and thunderstorms in areas along and south of US-50 during the afternoon and evening hours. Dry conditions with poor overnight relative humidity recoveries will be in place over the weekend across western NV. These conditions combined with gusty winds on Friday ahead of an incoming dry cold front will result in several hours of critical fire weather conditions. Note: Thunderstorms imply gusty and erratic winds. Note: Mixing Heights are in feet above ground level of the valley floors.
