.DISCUSSION...
An extended heat wave continues throughout the week courtesy of high
pressure. Afternoon heat index values, or feels like temperatures,
will reach at least mid to upper 90s again today, and as high as the
low 100s in many lowland locations Friday and Saturday, resulting in
the potential for moderate to major heat-related impacts.
A cold front approaches from the west late Sunday into Monday,
bringing with it the chance for showers and thunderstorms. We`ll
have a brief cool-down on Monday, with highs in the 80s, but 90s
look to return for the middle of the week.
