...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT CENTRAL KANAWHA...WEST CENTRAL
CLAY AND NORTH CENTRAL BOONE COUNTIES THROUGH MIDNIGHT EDT...

At 1126 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms near South Charleston, or near Charleston, moving east
at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Charleston, South Charleston, Sissonville, Chesapeake, Marmet, Belle,
Clendenin, Cedar Grove, East Bank, Glasgow, Pratt, Pinch, Coal Fork,
Elkview, Dawes, and Sharon.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 79 between mile markers 1 and 15.
 Interstate 77 in West Virginia between mile markers 96 and 108.
 Interstate 64 in West Virginia near mile marker 57.
 West Virginia Turnpike between mile markers 77 and 95.
 Route 119 between mile markers 78 and 80.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to travel across
flooded roads. Find alternate routes. It takes only a few inches of
swiftly flowing water to carry vehicles away.
