...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 730 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of southwest Virginia, including the following
  county, Giles and southeast West Virginia, including the following
  counties, Mercer, Monroe and Summers.

* WHEN...Until 730 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Overflowing poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 422 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of
    rain have fallen.
  - This includes the following streams and drainages...
    New River, East River, Lick Creek, Crooked Creek, Blue Lick
    Creek, Dry Creek, Brush Creek, Indian Creek, Hans Creek,
    Island Creek, Adair Run and Little Island Creek.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...

deaths occur in vehicles.
