...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 530 AM EDT EARLY THIS
MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of north central North Carolina, including the
  following county, Rockingham.

* WHEN...Until 530 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads
  remain closed due to flooding. It will take several hours for all
  the water from these storms to work through local drainage systems
  in urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 325 AM EDT, Thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall moved
    across the warned area Tuesday afternoon and evening. Between
    4 and 7 inches of rain fell.
  - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
    expected.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Eden, Reidsville, Wentworth, Mayodan, Madison, Stoneville and
    Mayfield.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

When it is safe to do so, please send your reports of flooding,
including mudslides or flooded roads, to the National Weather
Service by calling toll free at 1...8 6 6...2 1 5...4 3 2 4. Reports
and pictures can also be shared on the National Weather Service
Blacksburg Facebook page and on Twitter.
