213 AGUS76 KRSA 181320 HMDRSA Hydrometeorological Discussion National Weather Service / California Nevada RFC / Sacramento CA 620 AM PDT Tue Jun 18 2024 ...DRY CONDITIONS THROUGH THE PERIOD... ...ANOTHER DAY OF BELOW NORMAL TEMPS BEFORE A WARMING TREND KICKS OFF RISING TEMPS ABOVE AVG BY WEEKS END... .METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS (TUE AM - MON AM)... Troughing remains overhead this morning allowing for another day of below normal temperatures across the region by about 5 to 10 deg F. High pressure will begin to build into southern CA from TX and the desert SW tomorrow resulting in a warming trend throughout the rest of the week. Expecting temperatures to rise to 5 to 10 deg F above seasonal normals by Friday with afternoon highs peaking at 10 to 20 deg F above normal for Saturday. An upper low moving towards the PacNW along the BC coast from the Gulf of Alaska will help prevent the ridge from building further northward up the west coast over the weekend. The low will open into a trough moving through BC and WA on Sunday as high pressure takes over for most of CA/NV. This will provide a little cooling but still expecting highs of 5 to 15 deg F above normal. No precipitation is in the forecast for the next six days.
