Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Western Washington
National Weather Service Seattle WA
253 PM PDT Fri Jun 14 2024

.DISCUSSION...A weak front will move across Western Washington today
for light rain. Showers are likely Saturday with thunderstorms
possible. These thunderstorms will be capable of producing brief
heavy rain, lightning, small hail, and gusty and erratic winds.
Locally heavier rainfall amounts expected near a convergence zone
over King and Snohomish Counties on Saturday. In addition, focus is
also on burn scars, particularly the Bolt Creek Burn scar, with
heavier rain rates possible in thunderstorms. Showers will be around
on Sunday, with just a slight chance of thunderstorms in the
Olympics. A slow warming trend is likely into the middle of next
week, although showers may linger in the Cascades.

Forecast for 20 foot wind speed (valleys and ridge tops) are 10
 minute averages reflecting RAWS winds.
