Rating: EF-3 Estimated peak wind: 138 mph Path length /Statute/: 6.36 miles Path width /Maximum/: 750 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 1 Start date: 05/26/2024 Start time: 05:41 PM CDT Start location: 5 Miles WNW Mountain View End date: 05/26/2024 End time: 05:51 PM CDT End location: 2 Miles ENE Mountain View NWS Storm Survey concluded that a low end EF-3 tornado with peak wind speeds near 140 mph started 7 miles west northwest of Mountain View and travelled east for a little over 6 miles before lifting about 1 mile northeast of Mountain View. This storm severely damaged three homes and completely destroyed a manufactured home. Multiple outbuildings were also heavily damaged or destroyed.
