...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT EASTERN BARTON...CEDAR...SOUTHERN
VERNON AND WESTERN DADE COUNTIES THROUGH 1215 AM CDT...

At 1151 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from near Nevada to near Sheldon
to near Lamar. Movement was east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Stockton State Park, Stockton Lake, Nevada, Lamar, El Dorado Springs,
Stockton, Greenfield, Lockwood, Golden City, Sheldon, Montevallo,
Walker, Jerico Springs, Lamar Heights, Moundville, Milo, South
Greenfield, Deerfield, Irwin, and Arcola.

This includes Interstate 49 between mile markers 57 and 94.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 300 AM CDT for
southwestern and west central Missouri.
