COUNTIES...

.Morning Update...
Low clouds made it into most valleys and coastal areas west of the
mountains this morning. GOES imagery shows these marine layer
clouds quickly retreating toward the coast this morning. This
morning`s sounding shows near a 5-6C inversion vs. yesterday`s
sounding with a 7-8C inversion. Seeing this, along with stronger
southerly flow of clouds, should lead to better clearing toward
the coast later today. This will also yield slightly warmer
temperatures near these areas with highs near 65-70 degrees.
Slightly less windy today across the mountain passes and deserts
with wind gusts 25-40 MPH expected. A little discrepancy in NBM
and HREF >30 MPH wind probabilities for this afternoon, but
expect winds to be strongest in the San Gorgonio Pass.

We will continue to watch the region for next week as a large
ridge is expected to build in across the western U.S., which will
bring warmer temperatures and a bit less coastal/valley cloud
coverage to our region.
