.DISCUSSION...
Hot today and then even hotter on Saturday with highs near 100 in
the Inland Empire, 105 in the high desert, and from 110-115 in the
lower deserts. A surge of monsoon moisture will bring higher
humidity Sunday along with a slight chance for thunderstorms. Then
dry and continued hot Monday through Thursday with long duration
heat wave in valley, mountains and deserts. A shallow marine layer
will keep highs in the 70s to low 80s within 5 miles of the coast.
