...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Louisiana...

  Red River At Grand Ecore affecting Red River, Grant and
  Natchitoches Parishes.

For the Red River...including Dekalb, Index, Fulton, Springbank
Ferry, Shreveport, Coushatta, Grand Ecore...Minor flooding is
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL FRIDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Red River at Grand Ecore.

* WHEN...Until Friday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 36.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding of several hundred
  acres both upstream and downstream from Grand Ecore take place
  with backwater flooding of tributary bayous that include Bayou
  Pierre up through Powhattan, Louisiana.  Backwater flooding also
  affects Iatt, Saline, Black, and Nantaches Bayous.  Move livestock
  and equipment to higher ground away from levees.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:00 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 34.7 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 33.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 7:00 PM CDT Tuesday was 34.7 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 34.7
    feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below
    flood stage early Friday morning.
  - Flood stage is 33.0 feet.
