...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1030 AM CDT THIS
MORNING FOR SOUTHEASTERN JONES AND NORTHEASTERN TAYLOR COUNTIES...

At 915 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing light
to moderate rain across Abilene. Up to 1.5 inches of rain have
fallen over Abilene, especially the northern half of the city. AT
905 AM 1.00 inch has fallen since 8 AM at the Abilene airport.
Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the
warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
         flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
         urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Abilene, Tye, Dyess Afb, Caps, Potosi, Hamby, Impact and Kirby
  Lake.

This includes Interstate 20 between Mile Markers 274 and 292.

This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
Intersections along Sammons Street, Butternut Underpass, Curry Lane
from Clack Street to Catclaw Drive, Texas Avenue at Arnold
Boulevard, Intersections along Buttonwillow Parkway, South 27th
Street at Catclaw Creek, FM 3308 crossing Draw, 2000 block of Oak
Street, North 6th Street and Willis and Antilley Rd. crossing Button
Willow Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
