...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following
  counties, Southern Callahan and Northern Coleman.

* WHEN...Until 1000 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 747 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms over Goldsboro, Novice, Silver Valley. These
    storm will move east at 30 mph toward Cross Plains and
    Burkett. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding. Up
    to 0.5 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 2.25 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Coleman, Cross Plains, Novice, Silver Valley, Oplin, Burkett,
    Glen Cove, Us-283 Near The Coleman-Callahan County Line, Lake
    Coleman, Echo, Hords Creek Reservoir and Goldsboro.
  - This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
    FM-RD 136 crossing Hords Creek, County Road 482 crossing Jim
    Ned Creek, County Road 482 crossing South Fork Jim Ned Creek,
    Colorado St. crossing Hords Creek Draw, County Road 485
    crossing Indian Creek, Liveoak crossing Hords Creek and
    County Road 172 crossing Little Pecan Bayou.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
