.SYNOPSIS FOR PUERTO RICO AND THE U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS WATERS...
A weak high pressure is ridging over the region from a high pressure
just west of the Canary Islands will maintain light and variable
winds through tonight. Winds will become easterly and gentle to
moderate now through the end of the week. Showers and isolated to
scattered thunderstorms will develop from time to time across the
regional waters, particularly over western coastal waters of Puerto
Rico each afternoon, but will be strongest today. A northerly swell
will increase seas to around 4 to 5 feet on Friday. Thunderstorms
will become more isolated tonight and Thursday, but the activity
will increase somewhat on Friday as a tropical wave approaches
the regional waters.
