Soils and KBDI values continue to show readings just below the
thresholds, especially in the southwestern coastal areas, where
the KBDI for Cabo Rojo is 296 and for Gunica is 450. Regarding
the weather conditions, moisture from the Caribbean embedded in
the southeasterly winds will increase the RH values, ranging from
the mid to upper 50s. Winds will continue from the east-southeast
up to 15 mph. Given the expected conditions, the threat of fire
danger will remain low today across the southern coastal plains of
Puerto Rico.
