...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE OVER THE WESTERN WATERS OF
PUERTO RICO...

At 137 PM AST, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms,
capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and frequent
lightning. These thunderstorms were located over the coastal
waters of western Puerto Rico, moving west around 10 knots.
Additional thunderstorms are expected to develop across these
waters and across the Atlantic waters of Puerto Rico during the
rest of the afternoon hours. Isolated strong thunderstorms were
also observed north of Anegada moving slowly west over the open
offshore Atlantic waters.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until this storm passes.

Intense lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the open
water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded metal
objects.
