...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE WESTERN WATERS OF PUERTO RICO...

  Coastal Waters OF Northwestern Puerto Rico out 10 NM...
  Coastal Waters OF Southwestern Puerto Rico out 10 NM...
  Coastal Waters of Southern Puerto Rico out 10 NM...
  Mona Passage Southward to 17N...

At 148 PM AST, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located
over the coastal waters of Cabo Rojo, moving west around 5 knots.
Additional thunderstorms are expected to develop across the western
waters of Puerto Rico during the next few hours.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until this storm passes.

Intense lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the open
water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded metal
objects.
