468 FNUS75 KSLC 141137 FWSSLC Spot Forecast for South Beaver RX...USDA Forest Service National Weather Service Salt Lake City UT 537 AM MDT Fri Jun 14 2024 Forecast is based on ignition time of 0600 MDT on June 14. If conditions become unrepresentative...contact the National Weather Service. .DISCUSSION...Minimal change in conditions are expected over the fire area today as hot and dry conditions remain in place. Winds will follow typical diurnally driven trends, however, east-west oriented drainages may see more persistent winds around 10 mph from the west during the afternoon. Winds will begin to increase through the overnight hours out of the west to southwest direction which will cause overnight humidity recoveries to decrease. Winds remain elevated through the day on Saturday alongside a drying environment, creating critical fire weather conditions. While humidity is expected to bottom out on Saturday, winds are expected to increase through Monday afternoon where peak gusts are expected to be in the 30-40 mph range for both Sunday and Monday. Higher-end critical fire weather conditions are expected for these days.
