977 FNUS75 KSLC 201114 FWSSLC Spot Forecast for Last Chance RX...USFS National Weather Service Salt Lake City UT 514 AM MDT Thu Jun 20 2024 Forecast is based on ignition time of 0600 MDT on June 20. If conditions become unrepresentative...contact the National Weather Service. .DISCUSSION...While moisture will increase slightly by late this afternoon, most of the higher moisture content air will remain off to the south and east today. The burn site will be on the western fringes of the potential for gusty outflow thunderstorm winds and isolated dry lightning this afternoon as well, with most of this activity remaining east of the area through this evening. However, moisture will increase substantially late tonight and Friday with scattered showers and thunderstorms expected Friday, especially in the afternoon. This activity will be capable of producing heavy rain, hail and strong outflow winds. As is the case with convection, there is a wide range in possible precipitation amounts, ranging from nothing on the low end to as much as 1.5" on the high end. Regardless of whether it rains or not, significant humidity recovery will be observed on Friday. .TODAY... Sky/weather.........Mostly sunny (5-15 percent cloud cover). CWR.................0 percent.
