.DISCUSSION...Southwesterly to westerly winds expected through the day,
increasing to around 7-15 mph with gusts to around 20 mph during
the afternoon hours. A very brief isolated shower can`t be ruled
out during the afternoon (10% chance or less), but wetting rain
from such a shower is unlikely. Any activity that does develop
will diminish late evening, with winds gradually lightening up
some and shifting more north to northeast through the night. For
Saturday, a system passing nearby will bring more moisture and
energy into the area, resulting in development of scattered
convection during the afternoon hours. Winds will trend more
northerly, but will become gusty and erratic as a result of any
outflow winds from nearby showers and thunderstorms. For both
Friday and Saturday, mixing heights and transport winds are
expected to be sufficient for excellent afternoon clearing index
values.
