As these waves moves into the surf zone, it will bring a high risk of rip currents today. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don`t swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. Some portion of this wave energy will move up to the Emerald Coast this afternoon around the same time that the seabreeze kicks in, so a high risk of rip currents is likely to develop.
