Surf Zone Forecast
National Weather Service Tallahassee FL
417 AM EDT Sun Jun 23 2024

.THE SURF ZONE FORECAST GENERAL OUTLOOK...

...HIGH RISK OF RIP CURRENTS AT ALL LOCAL BEACHES...

Offshore buoys were reporting a southerly swell defined by 7-9 second
wave periods and wave heights of 2-3 ft. As a result, the high risk
for rip currents continue today at all local beaches. These hazardous
conditions persist into early next, so opted to extend our existing
Statement through Monday night. Beachgoers are urged to be aware of
what color beach flags are flying. Reminder: double red means that the
water is closed to the public, but the beach remains open.
