Surf Zone Forecast
National Weather Service Tallahassee FL
1145 AM EDT Mon Jun 10 2024

.THE SURF ZONE FORECAST GENERAL OUTLOOK...

Some beaches are flying red and/or purple flags due to hazardous
marine life. A moderate risk of rip currents this afternoon though
localized areas of the Bay and Gulf County west-facing beaches could
see a high risk by late this afternoon as the seabreeze works on the
wave setup. The rip current risk backs off slightly on Tuesday as
winds turn offshore but will increase again as southerly swell builds
through the week. Cannot rule out an evening shower or thunderstorm
today with rain chances gradually increasing from mid to late week.

Based on communication with area beach officials, the following flags
are flying at area beaches:

Walton........................Yellow
Bay...........................Yellow
State Park Gulf Beaches.......Red
West Facing Gulf Beaches......Yellow
South Facing Gulf Beaches.....Yellow
