Surf Zone Forecast
National Weather Service Tallahassee FL
1200 PM EDT Sun Jun 9 2024

.THE SURF ZONE FORECAST GENERAL OUTLOOK...

Some beaches are flying red and/or purple flags due to hazardous
marine life. Be careful when entering the water and be aware of your
surroundings, swim near a lifeguard, and lookout for each other. A
moderate risk of rip currents is expected which will maximize this
afternoon as swell from the seabreeze develops. Rip current risk will
likely remain moderate through Monday but increasing swell from the
south through the week will likely bring a high risk of rip currents
from Wednesday onwards. The next chance showers and storms is on
Monday, but any activity should be isolated.

Based on communication with area beach officials, the following flags
are flying at area beaches:

Walton........................Yellow
Bay...........................Red
State Park Gulf Beaches.......Red
West Facing Gulf Beaches......Red
