Important notice to mariners...marine forecasts are issued at least four times a day. Boaters on extended trips should routinely monitor subsequent forecast issuances and updates for the latest marine weather information. The wave heights are forecast as significant wave height which is the average of the highest one-third of the waves. The highest waves may rarely be twice the significant wave height. The winds and seas near thunderstorms may be higher than forecast. GMZ800-200715- Synopsis for the coastal waters from Bonita Beach to Suwannee River- 228 PM EDT Wed Jun 19 2024 .SYNOPSIS... A tight pressure gradient remains over the eastern Gulf of Mexico for the next couple of days. This is producing gusty easterly winds that has warranted the continuance of a Small Craft Advisory for the eastern gulf through Thursday afternoon. The gradient weakens by Thursday evening with decreasing winds expected for the latter part of the week and into the weekend.
