329 WGUS83 KTOP 190516 FLSTOP Flood Advisory National Weather Service Topeka KS 1216 AM CDT Wed Jun 19 2024 KSC013-190915- /O.NEW.KTOP.FA.Y.0025.240619T0516Z-240619T0915Z/ /00000.N.ER.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.OO/ Brown KS- 1216 AM CDT Wed Jun 19 2024 ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 415 AM CDT EARLY THIS MORNING... * WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of northeast Kansas, including the following county, Brown. * WHEN...Until 415 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1215 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Hiawatha, Sabetha, Fairview, Robinson, Morrill, Reserve, Powhattan and Hamlin. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
