The National Weather Service in Topeka has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southeastern Riley County in northeastern Kansas...
  Northern Wabaunsee County in east central Kansas...
  Southeastern Pottawatomie County in northeastern Kansas...

* Until 830 PM CDT.

* At 723 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 4 miles southwest
  of St. George, moving east at 30 mph.

  HAZARD...Tennis ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Trained weather spotters.

  IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
           damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
           wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Wamego, Alma, St. Marys, Maple Hill, McFarland, Paxico, Belvue,
  Louisville, and Keene.

This includes Interstate 70 between mile markers 320 and 342.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

This is a dangerous storm. Prepare immediately for large destructive
hail capable of producing significant damage. People outside should
move to shelter inside a strong building, and stay away from windows.
