The National Weather Service in Topeka has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southeastern Geary County in east central Kansas...
  Central Morris County in east central Kansas...
  Southwestern Wabaunsee County in east central Kansas...
  Northwestern Lyon County in east central Kansas...

* Until 630 PM CDT.

* At 549 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from Latimer to 4 miles northwest of Wilsey to 6 miles
  east of Burdick, moving east at 40 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Trained weather spotters. At 5:45PM, trained spotters
           reported 60MPH winds 3 miles north of Burdick.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Council Grove, White City, Alta Vista, Dwight, Wilsey, Parkerville,
  Bushong, and Council Grove Lake.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
