At 242 PM, National Weather Service radar detected a large area of
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain generally in eastern
Oklahoma east of highway 75, also west of a Eufaula to Hugo line and
also north of I44 and west of highway 75. Thunderstorms with locally
heavy rain were located in Pushmataha, Choctaw and Washington
counties in Oklahoma. The precipitation was in the Tulsa area.
Movement was to the northeast at around 15 mph. The average amount
where it rained last hour was around one quarter of an inch with
maximum amounts of an inch and a half to two inches. Coverage and
intensity remained about the same as last hour. The Tulsa area
forecast for late this afternoon, mostly cloudy, showers and
thunderstorms likely with temperatures 71 to 80 degrees and
southeast winds up to 10 mph.
