At 526 PM, National Weather Service radar detected isolated showers
and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain in Arkansas east of I49 and
also south of I44 and east of the Muskogee Turnpike. Thunderstorms
with locally heavy rain were located in Delaware county in Oklahoma
and Carroll and Madison counties in Arkansas. Movement was slowly to
the east at 5 to 10 mph. The average amount where it rained last
hour was one tenth to one quarter of an inch with maximum amounts of
an inch and a half to two inches. Intensity increased during the
last hour. The Tulsa area forecast for late this afternoon and early
this evening, partly cloudy, a chance of showers and thunderstorms
with temperatures 75 to 80 degrees and southeast winds 5 to 10 mph.
